Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"nasi kerabu rm10 is super nice. nasi dagang is good as well. there's no more artisanal coffee."
"In term of service is not well organised. The waiter who take order is the same person who prepare the food. Wait 15- 20 minutes for the first drink. Not to mention the food. Thing can get better if the owner arrange how to manage this matter. A lot of room for improvement. The last arrive customer get their meal first. I just dont understand. The food & drink is delicious & meet the taste. Potion wise is standard potion which is no to much like tomyam stall & not to little. Just nice. Price range is fair enough. Hope for the best & improvement in service & order hsndling. We will comeback sometimes later for new style & improvement. Tq"
"A simple restaurant with a nice setting, in front of the beach but you will not be on the shore. A quick and easy place to go for brekky and lunch (not sure about the opening hours), got there almost mid day on a weekday was not crowded. Catering to the taste of the eastern states -- nasi lemak, nasi kerabu, nasi minyak, and nasi dagang. The portion is small, it would take 2 plates to fill a normal tummy but nonetheless, nasi dagang at RM3 per plate is super cheap & affordable. There is an array of side dishes choice as well. I tried the ayam merah (supposingly for nasi minyak) and yes, it deserves a thumbs up. The sauce was not too thick and not too fiery like sambal, how I like it. Taste-wise it is what it is and how nasi dagang should taste like, I did not find anything spectacular about it but combined with the settings, it makes the trip worthwhile. However, what I did like was that they use basmathi and with that, we know that they don't compromise on the quality Recommended."
"Yummy nasi dagang! Affordable and definitely worth a try. There's nasi lemak and nasi minyak as well."
"Quaint spot easily accessible and visible from the beach road. Food is good, a bit expensive with smaller than expected portion. Convenient place to eat at the beach, parking is easy. Highly recommended if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite."
"Tried it out because of people's recommendation. The kedai makan situated just in front of the beautiful beach. The foods was definitely delicious and they are using Basmathi Rice for all the dishes. I tried Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu & Nasi Lemak with no regrets. Please do come and try it out. Can feel the breeze of air while enjoying your meal."
"Very nice nasi dagang and the premise is clean. Recommended."
"Food was simply amazing and delicious. First time here. More future trip to come. The café’s ambiance (windy seaside and cloudy), tasty Nasi Dagang made me forgot that I’m in Mersing. Johor and not in Terengganu. Lost me there for a bit. Mantul for breakfast !!!"
